What is Green IO?

Launched in 2021, Green IO has grown into a global community of tech professionals who share a common belief: it is possible to build a digital world that respects environmental boundaries. Through its podcast, international conferences, and the energy of its members, Green IO has become a space for knowledge-sharing and collective action to drive meaningful change.

How can we mitigate the environmental and social costs of AI projects in large organizations?

Together with our partner Capgemini UK, we’ll be leading a session on September 23, 2025, from 2:50 to 3:15 pm, focused on Artificial Intelligence — a technology that is transforming organizations while raising major challenges.

We’ll explore the environmental costs of AI adoption, the ethical dilemmas it creates, and the risks it brings for businesses. The goal is to provide clear guidance for navigating uncertainties, to make the impacts visible and translate them into real decisions, and to show how a more sustainable approach can become an advantage.

We’ll also share practical ways to help project managers better understand and manage the footprint of their AI initiatives, while ensuring alignment with best practices.
